I would prefer a phone call its more personel. An email is ok if you've been dating for a few years perhaps, cause your a little more comfortable with your relationship, but if you are shy and you want to ask someone, then i suppose you might want to give it a try, you just wn't know if he got the email, he might now even read it for a week of 2. It's kind of like txt messaging

Well, I would prefer to be asked out in person, but since many guys are shy...I think I prefer the telephone. E-mail seems like an easy way out, and I've definitely had my share of those!

Telephone call, it's more personal and it shows that the guy made an effort to ask you out...doesn't take much to write a few words over the computer...

Telephone definetly. You can also decide where to go and what not. (ie Should I pick you up at 8, are you a vegetarian, do you like French cuisine, etc) ; ) Details are important, and it saves time. Besides you get to hear her voice over the phone.

um... well since i met my wonderful boyfriend online, and love him dearly and it was online... i would have to say getting asked online is hott... but if he lived closer i would like a in person asking out
