all content that comes from download.com is spam/virus free,correct?

Download.com comes from CNET Networks, Inc
While they are reliable, look for products that are rated HIGH. They do not MAKE those products that you download, so learn about them first, and go with the ratings.

No a small portion of downloads from download.com is NOT spyware/spam/virus free be careful what you download. Always read the user reviews before downloading and if you have firefox or IE get the siteadvisor extension.

Might be virus-free from download.com, but what about its travels? There are wackos and people who don't know what to do with themselves just looking to hack into your system.
Did you watch "X files"? When it comes to downloading, "trust no one." Firewall on, virus protection on and auto-protect enabled.

Don't know about everything on there, but i have downloaded quite a few things from there and haven't had any problems

not always, but most of it is virus free
