The correct spelling is cycotec (misoprostol) and this drug is approved for the prevention of ulcers for people taking other stomach irritating drugs. It is also to induce labor, and used with another drug to end early pregnancy. This drug is not approved for regular use in pregnant women and can cause abortion, premature death, and birth defects.

Sycotec is a medication for ulcer's, but is used across the US to ripen your uterus and induce labor. It is not approved for this use because it cost's roughly $.10 per pill compared the the hundred's of dollar's per dose of pitcocin. It works very well. I had one dose today and am now in labor. I am progressing slowly, but am progressing none the less.
