if your dog is of a breed that is commonly used for bird hunting it will naturally flush birds into flight so you can blast them. The hard part is making sure your dog does not run out of shot gun range and waits for you. Getting them to swim out into a pond to retrieve a bird in the middle of winter is a whole different story. And if the dog is gun shy forget it. It really helps to take the dog out with dogs that all ready know there stuff. Good luck.

IF you mean pointing, depending on the breed some dogs are better than others. You are going to have a hard time trainning a lab to point, but britannys on the other had are natural pointers. I have found the best way to train a dogs is start with the basics at home...sit stay. come...etc, Then start the dog hunting with dogs that know what is going on....my britanny I have know that worked very well...and she is one of the best dogs I have had. You do have to hunt with people who don't mind a dog that needs a little work and can put up with it....which most people will but I know some who refuse to hunt with new dogs. They even pay people to train their dogs before they get them so they don't have to work with a dogs who is not perfect. To me, part of the fun of bird hunting is taking the time to train your dogs...it bonds owner and dogs and to me it make the dog more of a friend that just goes hunting with you rather than a work horse to make you job easy.

he's no longer too previous to coach... confer with a coach! That being stated, some canines are merely no longer meant to pass off their leashes and could under no circumstances have strong keep in mind... yet worry-free training should be quite plausible.
