Did you show gratitude? or did you act as if it was their duty to be nice to you?

The nicest and most beautiful thing that anyone ever did for me was when my late wife stood with me and said "I do". I tried to show her my love and gratitude for over 30 years, till she died in 2001.

Of course I showed gratitude!! My ex bought me a lovely cake from my favorite bakery and had the house decorated when I got home. Pretty darn nice...
He also took me to a bed and breakfast on a lake for the weekend.

Well once I lost my wallet, and my friend called everyone and everywhere possible. She found it in the end, and I thought that was really sweet. Plus, once in the bus, I was sitting beside this creepy man who was almost cuddling me lol and this random guy stood up and offered to switch places with me.

when my wife died, a woman that was her best friend, and a good friend of mine, came up to me and gave me a hug, and said IF there was anything she could do to make my life easier for a while, let her know.....she was a God send for about a month....and I constantly took her and her husband out for dinner to nice places....when I stop needing her so much, he said he missed me....LOL anyway, she was there when I needed her most, and her husband let it happen, they are my best friends now, and I tell the all the time how grateful I am too them both
