Wow, that is a broad question to answer. Georgia is known probably for everything that has been mentioned already. As well as southern talk and slang. It's a wonderful place to visit with alot of history, especially in Atlanta and Savannah. Georgia is also known for being hot and humid during the summer. And the word....Ya'll!!!

Well, honestly, Georgia is known as the "Peach State" but South Carolina produces more peaches than Georgia..so that still doesn't make sence to me.

I think Georgia prides itself on Southern Hospitality (I live here but Southern Hospitality sounds a little too "southern" for me).

Peaches, pecans, cotton, sweet onions, remote Appalachian hills, Cherokee, Creek, and Muskogean history, the dishonorable and treacherous wars against the Creek, Seminole, and Cherokee. Civil War history, 'specially Sherman's March to the Sea, military forts including Fort Benning and Fort Stewart, Martin Luther King, Atlanta's Underground, Emory University, UGA, Georgia Tech, and GSU football. Atlanta Braves. Okefenokee Swamp (where Pogo came from), the Golden Isles.

Yes, there are racists, but there are many more kind, generous, hospitable people. Oh, I forgot to mention writer Flannery O'Conner, poet Conrad Aiken, and musician James Brown, and composer Johnny Mercer.
