I just watched the news. They were talking, yet again, about breaking up families if they deport the.....people.....that are here illegally. Why? They do not have to be split up at all. It's so simple my 9 year old granddaughter can see it. Send the illegals and their minor children back to where they belong! What the hell is the hold up?

niwriffej.....here's a reason for you. i have been paying into social security for 43 years. I am due to retire in a few years and from what I understand I will not be able to collect social security...they are going broke. oh....and it was on a news brief a few weeks ago that they are considering giving illegals access to our social security. Money I (and millians of other Americans) have paid in for many years is being stolen from us by our own government to give to a bunch of criminals that should not even be here.

Some of you seem to have a problem understanding the difference between immigrants and ILLEGAL immigrants. What part of ILLEGAL is it you don't understand?

We need to send all illegals home and any legal who wants to be with them. The hold up is politics. Remember this in November. Those politicians who will not commit to deportation, vote them out, and don't let them give you meaningless rhetoric.

I think people would be wise to consider the benefits that America derives from illegal immigrants. I hear a lot of talk about how they use up county resources, but I think the truth is that not a lot of illegal immigrants take advantage of federal resources because they are afraid of the consequences. I live in California and I see an enormous amount of businesses being sustained through these people's labor. They generate millions of dollars for our economy by working here, and even if they don't pay income tax the gov't still gets 8.5% of every dollar they spend while they're here. I've yet to hear anybody give a good reason why they personally suffer because of illegal immigrants. Every negative thing I've heard about them is abstract. I don't think they should necessarily have many rights in this country (besides human rights, of course) but why the big push to get rid of them? Have we as a people really become so xenophobic? That's too bad that means the terrorists are winning.
If anybody has a personal reason for wanting to deport so many people, and split up families, please post it so the rest of us can see what the big deal is about. Otherwise I think you're just toeing the right wing party line and have a nice acceptable avenue for bigotry.

Another flimsy argument for "illegals staying where they are not wanted"
We have lots of buses....during the summer, during weekends, and holidays we have tens of thousands of buses which are used by the school systems in each state.
Load up illegals on Saturday morning...drive them to the border of the state which is nearest to mexico...then transfer them to another bus...which will continue the leap-frog travel. From Monday thru Friday, they can stay confined at military bases. Then, Saturday, Sunday and all other days school is not in season...keep 'em movin' on!
Even if you use half the buses in the corral, and service the other buses on alternative weekends, your success rate of transporting illegals will be overwhelming....
Use volunteers of military with armed ICE agents on board for the trip. They (illegals) may eat MRI's...the same as our soldiers eat out in the field....no frills, no luxuries...just solid transportation out of our land.
It is an amazing solution to an ugly problem!

Because we don't have busses for 20 million people handy.
And that's making the blatant assumption that you could find and round up all those people, without also having to deal with at least twice as many who are here legally, but don't know how to respond when police break their down down.
And even assuming it takes 10 minutes per person to determine whether they were legal or illegal, that's 6 per hour, 50 per day, 250 per week, 1000 per month, 10K per year on the average. If we had 1000 judges doing nothing but hearing these cases, that would be 2-4 years just for the people already here.
So, should we start next week?

Then do the right thing, send the child home with the illegal parent. It is sad, but the parent knew what she was doing and did so knowing it. She had the baby only out of her selfish desire to stay her. Kind of nasty of the mom isn't it.

I suppose you think that human beings ought to be spayed and neutered, like dogs?!
YOU have supported the very free trade and other economic policies over the last 35 years or so, which have destroyed the economies of the nations, from which the "Illegals" have come! If you're truly concerned about them, why don't you support economic policies that benefit the US, as well as other nations, instead of just thinking about yourself?!
If people have a future for their children, they will stay in their native countries.

I'm sure ur ancestors came to the U.S.A. looking for a better way of life for themselves, u, and ur family. Why r u such a bigot? R u a real Native American? What authority or who appointed u guardian to the borders? Ur ancestors got a chance why can't the decedents of those who lived in our country before ur ancestors did have the right to stay here for a better quality of life for their children? Where's ur heart? Better yet why don't u return to where ur ancestors came from? Think about it before u show ur butt through that bigoted and ignorant mouth of urs. i believe that the people here illegally shouldn't be allowed to stay, but the system for coming here legally needs some fixing before they just boot everyone. i think they should stop the new aliens before they worry about the ones already here.

For the same reason they seem to get in despite increased border patrol...its all a crock of ****.
For some reason they want us to feel sorry for them...unless their is some type of paperwork that needs to be done to legally send the semi-legal children home...who the hell knows. It doesn't make sense to me either.

Round them all up when they are marching in the streets! I'd love to see an INS truck roll up and watch them all scatter and run!
