Basically, just the way she acts around you. Does she giggle alot? Is she flirty? Does she bat her eyelashes... ect. It depends on how old you are and what her personality's like. If she's shy, just smiling at you from across the room can be considered flirting.

Coming to these things you just have to trust your instinct.
