To restore something is to put it back like it was to begin with. Many churches have drifted away from the teachings of the Bible, God's inspired word. The church of Christ wishes to take the church back to the Bible so we can be Christians and nothing else.

Many were part of the "Reformation movement". To reform a church is to simply change it from its present state, not necessarily to return to the original form. We want to become the same church you read about in Acts 2. If you read and understand what they were taught, accept and believe the things they believed, and do the things they did, you will become what they became, Christians - nothing more, nothing less, nothing else.

To illustrate the difference between "reform" and "restore" think about a car. Suppose you have a new car and someone borrows your car and has a wreck. Do you want them to reform it, or restore it? If they wrecked it, you might say they have already reformed it. You would want it restored to it's original condition, look, and function.

The church of Christ wants to restore the church as it was when it was originally established. Only then can we have the type of unity talked about in the Bible. (John 17:17-21, 1 Corinthians 1:10)

Just as in Ezekial's Temple vision of restoration when comparing it to the Revelation vision of the Holy city Jerusalem, there is a River of life flowing, it flowing out from the Temple of God and from God and trees bearing monthly crops of fruit and leaves for healing for the nations--those who render Him Sacred service. Then God will restore mankind and all HIS creation back to perfection the Way it was 'In The Beginning'. Ezek:36. . And those that are remaining, the Holy ones, after Armageddon will help clean up the earth and restore it. These ones are told to put a marker beside each bone so that those coming behind will bury them-Ezek:39:1-29. The spiritual Israelites about which these chapters speak are not the nation of literal Israel, but instead, is the one true Christian group in the world. Remember that the Israelite nation rejected Jesus? so God, Jesus Heavenly Father, rejected the Israelite nation and opened The Way for the world.

Believe it or not it is all coming true and it is speeding up in it's own time.

The Holy Spirit restores by revealing truth of the Holy Scripture. This happens with each disciple of Jesus Christ. Jesus builds the church on the foundation of faith that He is Son of God, Son of Man, Lord of Lords, Prince of Peace. No other human could do that, only Jesus Christ, God Incarnate. Those who call for return to mere christianity are merely expressing their individual faith.

What are they "restoring" a belief in three gods? Or the more accurate God is trine like the Father, Son and Holy Spirit being like the soul, the body and the works in a single person.

Also, are they "restoring" faith apart from works? Faith is not apart from good works and charity in the heart. That is why you have to be reborn.

As an Anabaptist, and they never having been under the yoke of the catholic faith, and being TOTALLY INDEPENDENT in the first place.

The movement means nothing simply we did not DRIFT far from the Original Teachings of Jesus The Christ.

NOTHING TO RESTORE.
