Think about it. These burgers cost between 99 cents and three dollars. How can a restaurant sell a burger for that price and still make a profit? Easy! Make it 100% ground beef, but use the whole cow....just grind it up and hope for the best...

I gave up fast food in 1997. If I'm gonna eat junk, I'll eat something that is real...like pizza. None of that processed, chemical laden garbage they call food.

I hate the gristle too. I am practically a vegetarian because of things like this. There is no way to buy even the best ground beef and cook it yourself and be safe. Eventually you will run into a piece of gristle or a bone chip. There's something worse. That is finding a bone in chicken salad from the deli, and nearly breaking your tooth. Twice, from two different delis. I'm mostly making all my own food now. People are just not careful. PS I have broken a tooth on a piece of bread, the kind with tiny hard seeds in it like flax that are so good for you. Not if you bite it the wrong way.

I eat hamburgers all the time and I never once had one with "grissel".
It must be a local delicacy in your area.

Do you mean gristle? In ground beef, gristle shouldn't be a problem, even with fast food burgers.
Or, just do what I did, and stop eating fast food.
PS - Gristle is the sinews and ligaments, not fat.
PPS - Most hamburger is 80% lean, 20% fat.

The grease gives the meat flavor. If they took all the fat out of the patty it would be very dry.
But I think there should be a fast food hamburger with less fat like 60 % or more less fat.

Hamburger has gristle. No way around it really unless you buy prime chuck or ground sirloin.

that would be nice, but its kinda hard to remove all of the fat before grinding the meat considering some cuts its strung through out the entire steak
