I was in the Army a long time ago. As ROTC you will go in the Armi as a second lt. I don't know what questions you have or if I can answer them. I wish you well and I salute you.

Please send me your questions anytime, I will try to answer it as honestly as possible. But, yes, after college, you will have the rank of a 2nd Lt. The army will then send you school for the job that they assign you. The army will usually ask you for 2-3 different branches of the army you are interested in. Even if you graduate with a degree in accounting or anything to do with money, it does not mean that you are going to become a finance officer. Some of the guaranteed positions in the army are almost all in the medical field. Good luck.

It would be lots better if you talk with your JROTC Counselor at your high school. This is a personal matter
and is not meant for public discussion to people who will give you wrong information. As for college ROTC, that depends on what college that you go to.
If you can, try One of the Military Academies. that would be better.

If you are going to college, you should only join the Army if you plan on making it a career. I was in the Army during peace time. and I wished I would have made a career out of it. That is what most people say after they are discharged. 20 years goes by very quickly.

You will be an officer after college; So, the first thing you need to understand and come to grips with is you will spend at least 6-7 of your 20 years in Iraq.
