Because the concept of God is too far reaching for most humans to understand.

First, He did not get a Son. The Son for Him is any one whom He a gave a mission to fulfill. If one will accomplish it, then He will be called his Son and God will be a father to Him. The biggest deception is this present belief that Jesus was the only begotten son and that he is also God himself who came down as a Son.
The Holy Spirit is not also another person in one God or what they call the Third person in the Trinity. The Holy Spirit is the word of God that he puts into the mouth of His chosen Prophets.
To make sure that this is not my own interpretation, go to this website.www.the name.ph. God is perfect he does not need anyone beside him. He will never take human figure because humans know how to lie and He does not lie.

The Son and the Father and the Holy Spirit are one. God is capitalized. The Bible says they have existed forever. Some things you and everyone else like you won't understand because you don't want to. if you give God a chance, He will show you the way.

The Son took the form of a man on earth to live with us and show us the way of the Lord. As you may know, He also died so that those who believed in Him may have eternal life. The Holy Spirit was sent to us so we could feel the presence of the Lord here on earth once the Son left. It guides us in the right direction and it shows us the truth. He didn't "get" them - He sent them. He is all powerful and all knowing. He knew our spiritual needs and sent the Son and the Spirit to help.

Because God is perfect, God has this thing about others being like God. Ah - but this requires a free will otherwise one would not be perfect but enslaved toasters. God wanted children who have a free will. God is all powerful and could wipe us out and start all over and over and over again. Boring!
God could afford to share part of God (Jesus to cover the not so perfect us and the Spirit cf, Genesis 1 - breath of God/inspiration) so that we could become what we are, sons and daughters of the Perfect God who tolerates imperfect children.

because

although God is unchanging, He is not static but He is dynamic

although God is, God is not impersonal but God is love and through the Trinity lives in a loving community from all eternity

also He expresses the idea of Himself though the person of Jesus and the love of the Father and the Son through the Holy Spirit

whats imperfect about the Trinity?
the universe itself is a trinity of trinities

we live in a space that is three equal length wifth and height
we have time that is three coeternal past present and future
we have stuff with co existant momentus engergy and form

why would it be a surprize if God revealed himself as three coequal coeternal and existent persons

God created His son to die for our sins that we may be forgiven. His son is our "line of communication" to God and He gave us the Holy Spirit to dwell inside of us to strengthen our conscience that we may become stronger in our walk with the Lord and refrain from sin.

Jesus: our way was paved by Him in the past.
Holy Spirit: lives within us in our present.
God: is with us in our future, ALWAYS & FOREVER!

Amen!

all three were in existence from the outset. no one made each other but only Jesus (the Son) was made into human form later to come to earth and die for our sins.
