Why don't Police use Chi wawa's as k-9 Police dogs?

I think 1 Chiwawa won't do the trick, but if you let 20 of these agressive turbo driven guinnee pigs with sharp teeth attack, there's not much you can do against it. Every cop can carry 2 or 3 on the belt an a few extra in special back-packs with quick release cords and such as standard defense gear besides the gun, baton and mace. A k9 unit can easily take up to a 100 in a specially prepared car. Eat this M*th*f*ck*'s! Attack!
It would be a cluster-dog.

A 110 lb set of teeth and fur is more of a mind changer about running or fighting than an ankle dog. Its amazing how quick people give up when they see that Belgian or Dutch Malinois showings its teeth and begging to bite them.

They do use smaller breeds just for detector dogs for explosives, like at airports. But a Shepard is so much better in the defensive mode than a Spaniel.

You make a good point.

Undoubtedly anyone the police was trying to apprehend would fall over, convulsed in laughter, at the sight of a pack of Chihuahuas hanging off his ankles. It would save the police a lot of running, use of tasers, etc.

Police use dogs mostly for intimidation and ankle biters do not intimidate 300 pound criminals, they pick them up and throw them over the moon that is why the story of the cow jumped over the moon was started.

Police dogs must be able to take a certain amount of abuse. Sad to say, a suspect would not be intimidated by a chihuahua, and could easily stomp it to death.

first, they keep having to stop at "Taco Bell" but more importantly, when the police show up to a scene, the chihuahuas kill the innocent bystanders dog by getting caught in its throat
