As a Catholic, yes, I gather with other Catholics on Sunday to worship and praise God and to receive Him in the Sacrament of Holy Eucharist.
Sunday is the day when we gather together to worship. We gather together out of love for each other. We gather to pray to God and for each other and to become one in Him.
It is considered a sin to purposely not to gather on Sunday
because by skipping Mass we are not showing love to one another.
Yes, He is not the kind you have to wind up on Sunday. We are the ones who have to wind up on Sunday.

I have heard it said that the holy spirit will not inhabit a place where there is any sort of blemish or corruption from within. I have yet to enter a church where someone isn't mad at someone, jealous of someone, gossiping about someone, etc. Since I would choose to worship in a non corrupt invironment, I do not attend church as a general rule. I pray and commune with God on my own and walk my own path beside him as I can.

There are many places in the Bible that tell us to worship the Lord. We are told to worship Him in spirit and in truth. We are told to gather together with other Christians to worship and praise the Lord. He seeks the worship of His believers. He also deserves our worship because He is our Creator. I go to a non-denominational Christian church - no routines or doctrines established by man - just free worship and bible study. My Bible didn't give me the address of this church. I discovered the presence of the Lord there and can't seem to pull myself away. I attend several times a week. Oh, and He charges me for the rest of the week - not the other way around.

As an adherent of the Stone Circle Tradition of Wicca, we have a "religion without walls"--in fact, we don't even have a roof. The Earth and Heavens are our temple. That said, we do have a sacred sanctuary--in rural Pennsylvania.
But our faith can be observed anywhere.
That said, iIt appears that for those for whom a particular place of worship is important, it is not a particular edifice that is the focus, but rather a particular community of people.

I am a Christian. Christianity does require followers of Jesus Christ to gather together. At Hebrews 10:24-25, we are admonished not to forsake the gathering of ourselves together as some have the custom.
The Christian Greek Scriptures (New Testament) are full of accounts of Christians obediently meeting together to worship God, to encourage and edify one another and to continue learning God's requirements.
If we fail to do this, we can, among other things, find ourselves in the dangerous condition described at Proverbs 18:1. We will also miss out on important information and knowledge. Compare, for instance, Colossians 4:16, 1 Thessalonians 5:27.
I agree that we should not have the attitude of pulling God out of our pockets on Sunday and sticking him back in on Sunday night. Still, from the forming of the nation of Israel in Exodus to the end of the book of Revelation, God's worshipers are always shown as coming together in meeting format. And we can hardly forget the letters sent to the congregations in the book of Revelation. Those letters were full of encouragement, commendation, and serious warnings. But they were not sent to individuals at their homes. While it is true Christians now have the Bible in its entirety, that does not negate the command found in Hebrews above.

Where two or more gather to worship is a church, I don't need walls to fellowship with God. He doesn't live in the local church or temple, he lives in the hearts of those who love him....excellent question

I do go to church, except Christmas and Easter, that's when all the people that don't go, show up in there fifty dollar outfits to show off, but a building is just a place, if God is not in your soul and spirit, then why go for show, he knows whats in your heart, and I believe when your sincere he listens no matter where you are

The Bible says to not forsake the assembling of yourselves together. But you can worship God anywhere you want. You don't have to go to church to worship. But there is spiritual strength to be gained by going to church.

You can communicate with God anywhere. It is according to your religion if you have to go to "your church" to worship HIM. And if you are really true to your religion, then you'll follow its guidelines.
I personally find it more uplifting if I worship GOD in a church. The more worshipers with me, the better. In my religion, the bible says WHEN 2 OR MORE ARE GATHERED IN MY NAME, I AM MORE IN THEIR MIDST.
