My friend is moving to an apartment and she can't keep her dog, she is:

if it is a champ. it would cost alot expesially for shows cuz its not right to keep a champ away from shows

Absolutely nothing as far as money is concerned. There are tons of dogs sitting at the shelter so your 'resale' value is zero. Yes, even purebred dogs, dogs from reputable breeders, not just ordinary mutts. Contact a breed rescue and see if they will take your dog. And no, they won't pay for it. They incurr expenses such as vet bills, housing, feeding ... you get the picture. This is not about getting money for a dog you're dumping, this is about ensuring that this dog finds a proper home.
On another note: with a bit of patience, a pet deposit, references and a pet resume, it is entirely possible to find pet friendly housing. I've moved twice with my two dogs (both large), once inside the same city, once from CA to MA and it didn't occur to me to even consider an apartment that wouldn't allow my dogs.

She should be able to go back to the breeder. A good breeder will usually take a dog back, because their first concern is for the dog, and they want to keep track of where the dog is. If she really is a champion, the breeder will almost certainly want her back. There may even be a clause in the sales agreement that the dog goes back to the breeder if your friend can't keep her any more.

Since she can't keep than what for buy it in the first place? And since its just moving apartment she can ask someone to take care of it for a while and have it back when everything is settled.The best is don't sell pets as if they are goods for they have a heart like we do. Once i bought a dog from someone, we brought it home, and it whinnied non-stop.

I live in an apartment and kept both of my dogs. How does your friend expect other people to think her dog is worth money when she herself doesn't think her dog is worth finding a place to live that allows the dog?? Unreal....

She is only a Champion if you can prove it. Breeding is a question. That would be the only worth. Generally, the dog would be returned to the breeder. IF the breeder would not want the CHAMPION back, it sounds kinda shady.

I don´t know it´s obviuslly not as worth as a puppy but the difference of price is that the dog has a pedigree or not

She is worth the absolute best home she can find for her, whether or not they can pay. Unless of course she is a prize winner, and in that case someone might be willing to pay.

i say give the dog away for free or to the aspca so they can find it a home. she should be worred about finding it a good home not the money.
