Contact a local support group, or check with a local hospital. They can get you in contact with the correct people so that your money is actually turned over to the right hands and used for the purpose you intended. I think that it is great that you are doing this. If I lived anywhere near to you, I'd definitely contribute. Good Luck.

What you need to do is to choose a charity that the funds will go to, and then work with them.
They will be able to give you information about the cause and the charity itself, and will also be able to guide you on running the fundraiser.
