Hi. You must be a very sensitive person to ask this. I know there are many different moral codes and religious beliefs, but my own approach is very simple: always behave as though what you were doing is the last thing anyone would ever remember about you. I hope this sounds right to you too. I wish you much peace and happiness.

Follow your passions. Each person should have an intellectual passion like writing or film making, a physical passion, like biking or martial arts, and a skillful passion, like fixing DVD players, which can be used to make money, and gives one the satisfaction of a job well done and helping people. Some of those can potentially be combined.

Avoid any mind altering substances, such as drugs or alcohol, and wastes of time such as bad TV, hanging out all the time, video games.

Instead strive for what's best in the world, learn, grow, and increase your potential. Read all sorts of books: learn about history, psychology, science, philosophy. Explore the world: travel, museums, languages, other cultures. Follow politics, news and form opinions and take action on social issues.

Become a skeptic, don't take anybody's word for anything, and always search for both sides to an issue before making any judgments.

If someone is only hurting themselves, then leave them alone. Drugs, whores, &c. are only a problem for themselves.

Freedom implies a willingness to be offended.

No one else can tell you who you are. The person who cares about stranger's opinions is just as sick and the person who's going around criticing everyone. It's up to you to decide if you need help, or to make changes in your life.

If you have faith in a higher power, being it God, or Allah, or Jehovah, you can't go wrong. If you pray, you have to really listen to hear what the answer is, and although you won't get it in words, having faith that you are doing the right thing will ensure that you are.
