I don't think there is a problem for a minor to purchase money orders. Why is this company asking you to pay with MO. Make sure you get a receipt and keep a record if its an online purchase.

My post office is directly across the street from me and I send my kids there to get them all the time. I have never known this to be a problem- as long as you have the cash to pay for it, you can purchase a money order.
