the most sacred thing i hold is my family, my wife and kids and granddaughter, emma.
equally sacred is my faith and my church. i was raised baptist, but never felt at home in the baptist faith. once i moved out on my own i researched different christian denominations and my heart told me that the catholic faith was the right one for me. i took instruction and converted to catholicism--and that's been almost 30 years ago---have never regretted a minute of it!
after my family and God--everything else runs a distant second place.

This is a really good question. There are many things that are sacred and important to me for different reasons. First is my salvation and relationship with Jesus. Without His love for me, I would not have the chance to go to heaven when I die.
Second is my family. My children are very sacred to me. They are my future. They are everything I always wanted to be. They represent the love that my husband and I have for each other.
Third is the memory of my grandfather. He died 3 years ago and I was very close to him. He was a mentor and an extension of my mom. He picked up where she left off where my brother and I were concerned. He taught me the importance of family and respect for elders. He taught me the value of hard work even if the pay off isn't that great. He told me stories about his parents, grandparents, and great grandparents and the struggles they went through being German in America during W W II. These are all things that I will be able to pass on to my children and grandchildren. I miss him greatly.

The things of God, because I know that His purposes for all things keeps all things in proper perspective. The sacred is sacred because He makes it sacred.
Sacred to me is my relationships first and foremost is God, then my wife, then my family then my friends, then my experiences with people that I know and love. For these are what make up my life.
My Worship of God is sacred to me, I love worshipping Him, the experiences that I have known and had are beyond words.
My Bible studies are sacred to me, I love digging into the Word, to discover the hidden treasures of its depths, the power of its words to convey the story of God and how God is producing a people He has called out for his very own.
Life to me is sacred, everyones. Though I may disagree with the vast majority of them, and even despise their actions and abhor what they do, their life is a sacred trust given by God and he will judge how we have honored or abused that trust.
Time is sacred. I don't have enough to do the things I would like to do in a day, so I have to budget the precious time that I have. I feel each grain slip away that can never be retrieved. It is a sacred thing to keep time in proper perspective.
My time with friends are sacred to me. That is the time I have building our friendship, the comradiery that we develop, the trust, the bond we share. The power of friendship

I think that a person must have a good, stable character in order to hold things sacred in his/her life. That's why, the most important thing in my life is my character, so as to give true and honest importance to my family, lovers, relationships..

My Rosary.
Sounds corny I know. But, I love saying the rosary. It brings peace and joy when I feel like I need firm footing. Also, I got the Rosary in Rome after the procession at Pope John Paull II's wake.
As a big bonus it's made out of rose wood. And, leaves my hands smelling like rose petals!

I believe sacred and important to be two different things. I hold nothing sacred. I hold my husband and children most important in my life.

Looking at the broader picture, I think I would say freedom is most important - Without that, you have nothing. Freedom to enjoy life with your loved ones, freedom to have leisure time to yourself, freedom to hold and state your opinions, etc.

1. God's Name - makes me angry when people do not honor even the Name of God
2. God's Word - when people treat the Bible as second class novel and make fun of it or throw it in the garbage (have seen that)
3. Praise and worship songs (songs that exalt God's Name) - I think they should not EVER be altered and made fun of.
4. Myself - I am the Designer's Original - the Designer is God. I must take care of myself according to God's standards.

My family!
But esp my Dad!
He has always been there for me whenever i needed him the most! He knows whenever i need to talk to someone (even though i see him couple of times a month coz he lives quite far away) When i am upset or angry or depressed and he always phones me to make me talk things though and gives me ideas, solutions and most of all tells me he loves me no matter what!
I know he would go out of his way to make me happy and would do everything for me and i would do anything for him!
