Yes, he's dead, before they get him to a Medivac. As for his family, they're probably consoled in grief and mourning the loss. I feel for Terri, Bindi and baby Bob, and the rest of the family. He'll be missed, especially for Animal Planet.

Isn't that strange? They say that the stingray can't really kill you . It is a one to million chance. He was stabbed straight trough the heart.
im sure they are sad and proud that he died doing what he loves most.
