No, other than in the way that someone might feel sorry for very stupid people. I'm with Keith Olbermann - I root for the animals.

That's why I go to the rodeo. The rodeo would be so-o boring without the bullriders. A good 10 foot toss makes the crowd sound like the 4th of July. Ohhhhhhh, Awwwwwh.

Sorry, but cinching a bull to make him mean, what do you expect?

Maybe a bit for people in the rodeo - but even they know the risks. As for those in the run of the bulls - you'd have to be crazy to do that!!! Have a difficult time feeling sorry for really, really stupid people like them.

It was their chioce to get on the back of an animal and stick spurs in its side, or to run through narrow streets in front of bulls. I also don't feel bad for those who suffer from nascar and motocross injuries. Here are some others; skydiving, bungy chording, mountain climbing, or solo survivalists, etc. People make those choices in part because of the danger to thrill payoff for them. Sometimes it goes bad. Still their choice, so be it.

Sure I do, people are thrillseekers by nature. If you are not going to feel sorry for a Bull Rider than why feel bad for speeders killed in crashes, Skydivers whose parachutes fail to open or youths who die in amusement park accidents. Certainly they make a choice they know has an element of danger but don't we all in some way at some time in our lives?

Some people take on extreme activities, knowing the risks. The rewards are high, beating death, the adrenalin rush, the knowledge and skill involved. But if the time comes when they have to pay the price for it, i.e. injury or death, then that price is very high too.

It is sad that they get hurt. However, I don't have too much sympathy. What do they expect when they abuse a large and powerful animal? They got what they had coming, and I lean more on the side of the poor animal that is defending itself.

no, i don't. They get what they get for doing things like that. Same for the animal hunter. Besides i think its not right to take a belt strap it on bulls nuts just to make them jump around like that.

Yeah, but not much. They know what they are getting into and probably get a bigger buzz out of near misses, but you still have to feel a bit sorry for anyone who gets trampled or gored, it would be inhuman not to.
