Well I am not sure what type of school you are going to but I assume that since you are making an effort to attend that is a good first step. I went to school when I was 18 and flunked out and did not go back again until I was 31. So it is possible. And it is not as bad as you might think. I think that a lot of people are going back to school when they get older. I appreciated education more as an older person then I did as a younger person.
The things that helped me were my Faith was numero uno for me because I am also a single parent and taking care of my elderly grandpa and I continued to work as well as go to school full time. And I had a 90 mile commute to and from school so I needed all the help I could get. But go to all of your classes and dont get behind on any of the assignments or reading etc. Try and take teachers that assign homework or have lots of quizzes every class period. I know it seems hard but this will keep you on your toes and help you to not get behind so when test time comes you will be more prepared. Good luck to you.

Don't worry about it. I'm older and I'm going back to college. I was both excited and nervous at first, but now I feel like I totally belong. There are other adults there, and in fact, as an adult, you will probably find that you are better equipped to do the assignments and study than the younger ones. I have been both a traditional and non-traditional student, and I am doing much better as a non-traditional student.

So, be excited about this wonderful opportunity, enjoy the fact that you are doing something good for yourself, and...........it also helps to find the other older folks in the class, and stick together! ;-)

It is easy. Take a note pad and a pencil because ink is hard to erase and makes a mess. If you have already bought your books take them too.. You will find it is better to take notes and only open the book when required. You can not read along with them while they are talking because they are not reading from the book. They have already read it and are just giving you how it impressed on them.

Go to god:

Matthew 19:25-28 (King James Version)

25When his disciples heard it, they were exceedingly amazed, saying, Who then can be saved?

26But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.

27Then answered Peter and said unto him, Behold, we have forsaken all, and followed thee; what shall we have therefore?

28And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
