Yes Ford ownes Jaguar.
If I'm not mistaken we bought them in the late 1980's.or early 1990. I know this because it was right around the same time as 'Golf War I ' and i was offered a tour of a Jaguar plant. I declined but one of my co-workers went.
Back then they actually had very poor reliability ratings & were always in the repair shop.
Ford has brought Jaguars reliability & dependability back up & now they are rated # 8 in overall dependability by J.D. Powers & Associates, according to their most recent study.
Fords other 'Family' members include: Lincoln, Mercury, Mazda, Volvo, Land Rover, & Aston Martin
The Ford Family of vehicles is global & spans 148 countries.
