When all you want to do is beat the hell out of your spouse with a dead wet fish!

Seriously..when you are not happy with your own life.

divorce or seperation is never okay but itcan be accepted. for instance if it is best for the two people to not be together because all the fighting is causing the kids to be unhappy. then if the two seperate the children or any kid can still see both parents and they dont have to be around all the screaming and yelling its more of a calm environment which is best. the only time i think divorceshould be accepted is if the mother is being hit by the father or if he becomes abusive to the children then they obvioulsy need someone to step in and make sure they are safe.

The bible says only for adultery is a divorce allowed. I am sure seperation is allowable for a certian amount of time if the couple is working to salvage the marriage. I think if the seperation is just a time before a divorce then it would only be again for adultery.

The Bible says that divorce is only acceptable if fornication has occurred. There are a few very extreme circumstances where separation may be acceptable...such as severe abuse of a spouse, or extreme neglect of financial support. See: Matthew 5:32 and Matthew 19:9.

If U know when it isn't ok, U can normally tell when it's really ok.
U thinking about it?

Has he cheated?
Mentioned wanting 2 cheat?
Caused U emotional, mental Or physical Harm?
Any of the above & more that U could think of, is grounds 4 Separation 4 starters.
If He doesn't regret/apologise 4 any of the above, that's grounds 4 Divorce

To me legitimate grounds for divorce occur in three cases. One is infidelity. The second is situations where abuse is inflicted on the spouse that can result in physical injury to that spouse, or their possible death. Third, any purposeful action done by a spouse that puts the welfare of the other spouse or children at risk should be grounds for divorce. For example, if a husband repeatedly gambles away all the life savings of the family, to me that is grounds for divorce. He is demonstrating a callous disregard for those he is sworn to respect, nurture, and defend.

All other reasons given for divorce in our society, I think ultimately trivialize marriage, because they can be worked out given time.

In a Non-Christian context..the reasons could be anything, you don't like your partners new hair style etc.

In a Christian context the bible gives 2 reason 1st. Adultery 2nd You are married to an unbeliever.

Divorce is not as bad as some make it out to be...there is good company there.

God is a divorced man. He gave Israel a bill of divorcement because of her adultery

The bible says that adultery....or desertion...is the only reason for divorce. That being said, I am a divorced Christian woman and those were not my reasons. God forgives and restores. He understands much better than people do how horrible it can be to be married in a living nightmare!

a divorce or separation i think is ok when staying together is harming the children emotionally. if children are being torn between both parents then separation should be considered. If thea r no children involved and both parties cannot seem to relate then they need to get out before thea r children in the equation.

You are never required to stay in a situation that is dangerous for you or your children.

I.e.
If the husband comes home every night & gets so drunk that he physically attacks his wife &/or children, he wife can (and SHOULD) take her children out of the house & stay with a friend, relative, or in a hotel until the issue can be addressed on legal terms.

You never have to stay in a dangerous situation.

Adultery. That is what this scripture is referring to when it speaks of unclean

. Deuteronomy 24:1 When a man hath taken a wife, and married her, and it come to pass that she find no favor in his eyes, because he hath found some uncleanness in her: then let him write her a bill of divorcement, and give it in her hand, and send her out of his house.
