I am a Christian. According to your question us Christians justify the Asain Tsunami- That is a lie. Do we believe it happened for a reason- Yes. Do we know what that reason is- No, it is not for us to know only God.

I don't, in any way, want you to think that because I am a Christian that I look down on you at all for your thinking. I do, however, feel that over and over again, Christians are required by non-Christians to justify the [bad] things that happen in this world. We can't justify things any more than the next guy...and I can guarantee that most Christians out there have had the same questions that you have over and over and over again in their lives. I know I have. I would suggest, though, that you do some research into the Bible. I'm not saying that to try and convert you. One of the most intelligent men I've ever known was an atheist, but he could quote the Bible better than most Christians I've met. He'd also studied the Koran, the Torah, and many other religious texts. He felt like that to be an atheist in the purest sense of the word, he had to understand what others believed in that he didn't...In those studies, he learned that he couldn't ask a Christian to justify what society called "an act of God." (And in that regard, he couldn't do the same for anyone else-Jews, Muslims, Buddhists, etc.) I hope you find this answer helpful. And I hope you find the answers you are looking for.

I'll give you a serious answer to your serious question.
God's ways are not our ways. Where we tend to be overly compassionate at times, God is giving the tough love lesson. Where we are afraid to make the right judgment, God does the right thing all the time.
As far as people dying, etc...it's a part of life. God never promised tomorrow. In fact, the bible says to always be ready to die because tomorrow is not promised. Our reward is in heaven, not on this earth. Christians welcome death because we will finally be with God and away from all this nonsense. The people who think this world is the end and there is no afterlife are the one's who have your reaction because you have nothing to look forward to when you die.
The warnings and teachings have been given. People have rejected God. If they die without Him, that's sad, but I can't be too concerned because they had the same choice I did to serve Him or not. If they chose to serve Him, then they are in a better place. If not, then they are reaping what they sowed.
To answer for natural disasters, this world was set in motion and we are living in a world that will have earthquakes, hurricanes, etc. As humans, we know this and accept it. In fact, we're reminded how fragile life is every day from the media.
People are always being killed by natural and un natural means. It should be something that prompts you to serve God, not blame Him. You WILL die. That is certain. HOW you will die is the question and WHEN...
Get ready or reap the rewards of your sins in the afterlife.

Let's not forget that everything that is written was written by men.
How about the time when the miners were down in the ground and their families said that they knew there was a god when there was word that all the miners were alive. What happened to that god, why did these people have to lose their relatives? I always wondered too.
They always end up saying "It's a mystery" when they can't explain.
That's funny that Barb m would punish people on the other side of the world for something that was done in the USA.

We can not know the mind of God, If there were saved people there , they will be with the Father. To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.
If they were not of the body, they will be resurrected on the last day
What happens on this Earth is of little consequence. It is the blink of an eye in time. the only thing that matters is where we spend eternity.
the surface population has been reduced for years by natural occurrences, disease , war, etc. this will assure the survival of the human race until the last day.

The tsuanami happened because of a huge earthquake below the sea. Intelligent Christians know and understand science. Those that aren't as learned, make something up.

Just before the tsunami occured, this entire world was going crazy with taking the commandments out of our court houses, and taking Christ out of Christiman and saying happy hollidays instead of merry christmas. God will show everyone that He is real and just how powerful He is and force people to call upon the very name they are trying to erace from existance. Praise the Lord!!

As Christians we believe we live in a fallen world where sh!t happens. Sometimes God intervenes but sometimes he does not. tragedy happens to everyone both 'good' and evil. The bible does say that tragedy can happen as a result of our actions or in some cases we live in a fallen world where we expect sh!t to happen without logic.

It was created by an earthquake. The earthquake was caused by processes in our environment that allow our planet to support life....I still believe in a God........I also believe that the processes that maintain life and life itself are messy and dangerous. What do you want, you can not have life without death. Just because life isn't what YOU think it should be there must not be a God?
