I saw a similiar question a few days ago. Some protestants claim the saints are too busy with God, than worry about us. Others said, they watch us, but not active. Yet others said a lot of wierd things-like they can careless.

Interesting.

The bible says, "therefore since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with perserverance the race that is set before us."

A great cloud of witnesses watching us. That brings me comfort in dark times. What do you think?

They "ever intercede" for us. They aren't omnipresent so they can't see all things but probably the Holy Spirit leads them to intercede for specific people, like adopting someone in prayer?

If we ask them specifically for prayer I'm sure they would be allowed to do it. I sometimes ask my dad to pray for me and my children.

Wherefore denotes it is somethin that has been previously talked about...
The exact quote is
Hebrews 12: 1. Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
2. Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

The previous chapter was talking about faith... Hebrews 11
1. Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
2. For by it the elders obtained a good report.
3. Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.................
Then it goes into a list of people who had faith.

As I see it.... tracing it back it is not talking necessarily about the saints that have died (Eccl. 9:5 the dead know nothing). It states very clearly THE WORLDS WERE FRAMED.

The angels and other worlds are watching earth to see how this all plays out ... Much as we maybe watched the OJ Simpson case.

I really believe the *saints* or *chosen ones*..get immortality, and are in heaven for a short time, then come back to earth to rule with Jesus and his wife, over the earth. Isaiah 65:17-25. Daniel 2:44.

Being surrounded by a great cloud of witnesses at that time did not mean they were alive then, if you read all Hebrews 11, but that there are allot of faithful people to look to as examples.

These ones however came to life at the *first resurrection.*

There definitely are angels watching us now as Jesus is examining all the Christians to see if they will repent before the harvest; Rev. 2 and 3, Psalms 34:7.

The angels in heaven have families and work and learning, only their recreation probably includes star-gazing close up. Ephesians 3:15.

Praise Jah!!

Hail earth's new King!! Jesus!!

Welcome his wife..the 'Queen of Heaven'

What do the Saints do in heaven?

Much mone than in the confines of earth. Worship, music, rivers, animals, instruments and many other things are there but it is better than we can imagine from this side of eternnity.

Because the Bible is dedicated to telling HOW to get there, it does not go into much depth on what all we will do. We will get crowns, mansions, rewards, some will judge anges, some will rule nations. There will be food, too. As a musician, you can look forward to frequently jamming with other musicians.

Right now they are busy with Christ who will rule (with them) as co-rulers over the Earth after the End Times. When Armaggedon has been finished and the small number pass through the tribulation. Then the cleansing of the earth begins and then the resurrection to a Paradise as Christ promised the theif on the cross. They will then have already bound Satan and his Demons to the Bottomless Pit (see when Christ cast out the Demons into the Swine and they thought he was there to bind them and cast them into the pit of darkness (Matt 8:29, see also Rev. 20). Humanity will then have the chance to return to perfection as our original Mother and Father were, Adam and Eve, giving us what was originally lost to us.

I would guess the Saints are trying to do in heaven what they seem they can never do on earth - win a Superbowl. Have you ever seen a more unsuccessful team than the Saints - year in year out?

Bear with me a sec.

God made man in his image, hated man for his independence and defiance, killed everyone but Noah and his folks.

Chose Abraham to be the father of his chosen people who he alternately helps then watches them get conquered.

Gives his will to impregnate a gal and goes split personality in human form.

Experiences birth, potty training, eating, pooping, temptation, and a myriad of other human experiences, but shuns sex.

Only does this so he can commit ritualistic suicide in order to forgive mankind for pissing him off.

His parting request is that in order to honor his memory we should eat him and drink his blood.

Several hundred years later the church picks martyrs and saints to compliment the priestly hierarchy as liaisons for mankind with God/Jesus/Holy Spirit.

No wonder the world is so crazy. The apple don't fall far from the tree.

in my opinion they are like everyone else and do what they do best
if a saint was wise and good with words then he/she would be speaking and sharing wisdom in heaven as they would here
if they were good with healing then perhaps they would help with the healing aspects of spirit ... helping new souls/souls just new to spirit world
if they were good with children , animals etc etc then that is where there work would be
they may also wish to inspire the same in those of us here in this life .. so they may act as guide/guardian to those in this life
in spirit there is free will also .. and people will doing what they love and wish to do
