Believe this or not but "Tesco's" brand of shampoo, "Wheatgerm and cornsilk" Has been scientiffically tested with hundreds of others including the most expensive ones on the market, and it was found to be the only one that really worked. And the best fact of all is its only 58p in Ireland. probably cheaper in england.

But im sure you'll still buy the most expensive ones you can waste money on, that don't live up to what they claim.

Do not put any shampoo from the supermarket on your hair! It contains Silicone which will add to the greasiness. Silicone is like plastic and builds up on your hair. There is a really good one called Deep Cleansing by L'anza which has no silicone in and has the right ph balance. I used this and only needed to wash my hair every 3 days. Its about £9.95 a bottle but it is really worth it and a bottle lasts a good 3 months! You can buy it from Look Fantastic website. It really is worth the money!

The greese is produced naturally, if you have greasy hair that gets greasy every couple of days, that is you, not the shampoo. You need to wash it more often. Any real shampoo will work.

Try putting some vinegar in the last rinsing water (about a tablespoonful) and although you think it will smell, it won't as the hair dries. Try this over a few weeks to see if it makes a difference. I think washing greasy hair too much actually causes it to be greasy - if you can bear to leave it for a few days, hair cleans itself.

timotei shampoo, it's excellent! Its' cheap and it made my hair soft and silky after shampoo. You can use timotei conditioner too. Goodbye greasy hair. Also, wash your hair everyday because it collects dusts, and the styling products you apply makes it worse.

most shampoos are good but the trick is not to use one for greasy hair.use a normal one and wash it as less often as possible. ur hair will soon ajust itself and stop producing so much oil (grease)

I would recommend not using shampoo at all, it is actually the shampoo that is causing your hair to be greasy because it is stripping your hair of it's natural oils and as such this means your scalp is having to overcompensate for the damage you are doing to it.

I would highly recommend you don't use shampoo at all, it strips your hair of its natural oils, the oils that are produced by your body to keep your scalp and hair healthy, if you go shampoo free your hair will be a lot healthier so look better, need cleaning less often and also be easier to manage, so in turn easier to straighten as well as helping prevent split-ends.

Shampoo is very harsh on your hair, this is why we have conditioner to cover the damage, and also why you need to wash your hair as often as you do because the oils from the conditioner don't last very long and need to be replenished, your hair can also get greasier quicker because your body has to compensate/over compensate for the loss of natural oils.

Shampoo also contains mineral oil which is a by-product of the distillation of gasoline from crude oil, it's added to create artificial shine by coating the hair, and this also makes your hair weaker and more prone to damage.

As well as this commercial shampoos contain all sorts of ingredients that are bad for your general health as well as the health of your hair, skin irritants and paraben’s.

If that's not enough then add to that the fact that shampoo is expensive and many manufacturers support unethical and cruel animal testing.

You can go shampoo-free, this allows for your natural oils produced by your scalp to care for your hair, making it less prone to breakage.

If you have curly hair you can just use conditioner on its own, natural conditioners such as those found at Lush or Neal's Yard would be best for your hair, but any conditioner will do. If not then you can use baking soda and apple cider vinegar.

Use one tablespoon of baking soda per one cup of warm water, some people use less, some use less water, it is all a matter of finding what works best for your hair and altering it for things like hair length, although you shouldn't use more baking soda as this will make your hair hard. Then use a mix of one part apple cider vinegar to ten parts water and use it as a rinse over your hair after you have used the baking soda and water mix to wash your hair with. You can also use a little bit of olive oil at the ends of your hair to help condition if you are prone to split ends.
