Ih ave met many too. I once had a priest who said that there were many who lived a more "Christian" life who had never heard of Christ.

I have. I have had the privilege of meeting several. Sometimes they are more ethical and thoughtful than the "christians" I work with. I am a christian.

I've met many people who are Christ like but not Christians!!
you see the problem with people today is that they are no longer Humble!! people show off even with religion!

i honestly have never seen ( this this true ) a pastor driving any thing less than a Cadillac if not BMW!
people can preach religions all they want! does that get them in heaven? i think not!
in my opinion God will judge people by what they did and not by being Christians or otherwise.

peace be with you Deb!!
be safe now!!

I'm not trying to be a wise guy, but what made Jesus Christ who he was, has to include the basic premise that he was born of a virgin mother, via imaculate conception, that he was the son of God and performed a set of miracles. His death was to have opened up, and give the rest of us access to, heaven.

All this had to be for him to become the Christ.

I, myself do not belive any of this, but even those who accept, without question, and, as an act of faith, that this is all true, will not be able to say that there ever has been anyone else who appeared "Christ-like."

There have certainly been many good people, nice people, tolerant people. People who have given of themselves in order to help others, even to the point of self-sacrifice. History has many examples, and there have, undoubtably many more who will have never been recorded. It is the nature of genuinely self-sacrificing people that they do not seek publicity. Those that do seek recognition for their deeds, I categorize as very UNchrist-like.

Yes, I have Debra. I know a guy that's a friend. I always thought..WOW..what a great Christian he would make!!! He is very kind, Say's very little, very humble. He never brags and isn't arrogant. I know some some reason he hasn't been called..I do believe God places a calling on each of our lives. Of course that doesn't mean that he won't give his life to God at some point...and I believe that too. BTW...his family is Catholic like you!

Yes. There are also historical personages who were "Christ-like" and not Christians. They are generally referred to as being Buddasophic, Gandhi is the most famous that comes to mind.
(Mother Teresa is also considered to have been Buddasophic.)

Of course there is another way to be Christ-like, anyone who martyrs themselves, or is put in that unfortunate position of being made a martyr, would be Christ like in that respect. (I did not think that was what you were aiming for or I would have mentioned some of the more infamous martyrs of history.)

yes, i mean i read it in the Bible, the story about the very Holy woman in the temple who gave away all her money, every last penny. I never met Mother Tresa in person but she would come very close to this, and i am sure there are many such people from various religions who are just like that Holy woman in the temple.

Yes i have, but this person needs prayers these days.
