ok we have cheesecake

we all know what that means....

time to eat til you pop! b/c I HEART CHEESECAKE WITH A BIG PASSION

anywho.. i am sorta overweight...lets say about 60 lbs overweight.. and I am watching what i eat, i have done a great job controlling my portions and what not

but my problem is that I tend to overeat things that i really enjoy, especially desserts, b/c that is something we dont have alot around my house. Well we have cheesecake and I have practically eaten a 1/3 of it in one day. I cant stop. I keep thinking about it.

How do I control myself? I have done it before(once or twice a long time ago) by walking away from the kitchen shouting NO. But how can I stop going to the fridge? What do I tell myself? How do you build up that kind of self discipline?

Will first of all tell your self these questions:

Do I really need this for my body? Am I really hungry right now or am i just bored?

Self control is one of the hardest things in dieting too. I love strawberry cheese cake but look how many calories your eating ( sometime its 500 caloreis for one slice! )

Eat slowly! When your eating your cheese cake the way your eating it now, all your thinking about is i want more! i want more!

Eat slowly that you are able to to taste your cheese cake instead of just gulping it down.

Its nice to eat things you love once in a while but try not to eat the foods you love all in one day instead try once a week.

Your ganna lose that weight! I know you are! I need to lose some pounds myself too!

Try this diet thats 100% FREE! I'm in shock that its free!

Hope this helps!

This is just the reason I have been trying to convince doctors to adopt my invention. I propose a tube be added to the throat with a switch. When I eat what I need, the switch will allow the food to go down to my stomach. However, when there is cheesecake, extra helpings of potatoes or lasagna, etc. the switch would allow the food to take an alternate route to a bag hidden discretely under my clothing. I could then throw it away after getting all the flavor enjoyment out of it.

Hi. my mom is a nutritionist and here's what she says: do not buy the foods that you love. (treat yourself once or twice a month) and if you go to a party and they have foods you love then use portion control( you can use a smaller plate so you can't fit as much food on it.) if you have a real craving for something sweet try fruit with cinnamon ( cinnamon reduces your craving for sugar) you can also think about how much you want to lose the weight and that will keep your mind off of it. hope this helps!

Throw the rest of it OUT or make your husband and kids eat it all. Get it out of your realm of temptation.

And don't bring anymore into the house. Buy desserts and treats only in single serving portions to keep from overeating them.

You need to stop buying it or ask whoever does the shopping to stop buying it. Tell them that you want to lose weight and need their help. Ask them to buy healthy snacks, so that if you get the 'munchies' then it won't pile on pounds.

Like you, I have pretty bad will power when it comes to nice deserts, and so if I buy food that is bad for me then I will just eat it - the same day. So, I just don't buy it.

You're gonna do just fine. Good luck!

oh my goodness.... cheesecake.....the best. when i was younger and had a traumatic incident in my life, my mom would get me cheesecake. cheesecake and steak, with a-1 sauce.....those became my comfort foods. i have the best cheesecake recipe in the world!....but wait, we're talking about control here. as we, in our household, have proved to ourselves, cannot have high calorie, low nutritional items in our home. we'll eat them 'til they're gone. so our home has become a no junk food zone.... we don't provide ourselves access to it here. walk away from the food, my dear, it's just not that important. eat for nutrition, not for desire. best of luck!!

Drink lots of water when you think about your craving. Your stomach will get full and you wont want any. Plus drinking more water is good for you and helps with weight loss.

First, don't deprive yourself of the things you love...eat them in moderation. Drink a full glass of water before you eat, that helps to fill you up.
