No reason at all why it isn't worth going out on a date with him - it's not like agreeing to one date is signing your life away or anything. Be prepared that 17 year-old boys aren't (generally) the most mature of people, but if you go in with your eyes open there shouldn't be a problem.
As to "perv" charges I wouldn't worry about that. When your 41 he'll be 39, there's hardly much age difference there is there?

No don't feel like that, theres practically no difference, go for it. I'm 20 and if i really liked a 17 y/o i wouldn't care about the age b/c there isn't that much difference, although i wouldn't date him if he was 16 or younger.

What the heck 2 years! Come on! No one's gonna think you're a perv! and besides you'll make him feel better 'cause he'll be dating an older girl (not that he's using you)

Legally yes. Technically he is a minor. But when he becomes legal, no. Two years isn't a big deal. My Best friend is dating a guy two years younger than her, but the thing you have to keep in mind is that guys tend to mature slower than girls, so imagine a guys who is two years younger. But if you like him, don't worry!

It depends on your and his maturity level... you are out of high of high school and he isn't. If that doesn't bother you then no! It isn't like your are thirty four and he is seventeen, that is creepy (sorry if I offend anyone) You like him... just go for it. If anything this could work out to your advantage, you have more experience and will probably have the upper hand and he'll love it. Good luck!

someone so young? it's a 2 yr age difference! There's nothing wrong with it, but I wouldn't expect anything serious from it.

yup you better pass this one by. To many complications and too much drama. If you have sex with him its still statutory rape by the way, only its you who goes to jail. Ever hear men use the term jail bait? Well now the shoe is on the other foot.
