Yes, my son had this when he was 3. He always had to pee and I thought he had diabetes or something. But he had a buildup of poo that was pushing on his bladder and causing him to pee alot. They did xrays to find this out. They put him on a laxative and mineral oil for several months and told me to watch him and make sure he goes number 2 every day. Still to this day (7 yrs later) I make him go Number 2 every day to make sure that doesn't happen again. They say when kids are learning to potty train this happens because they hold it in so long because they don't want to poo in potty. I don't know what would cause your 7 yr old to have this except she's not going Number 2 enough and maybe not eating healthy enough and it gets built up and hard in there and hard to get out. I would keep her on the laxatives and put mineral oil in her drinks (ask dr about this first) and make sure she goes poo every day whether she wants to or not! At least make her try. Also make sure she is eating healthy. Good Luck!

She's not getting enough roughage in her diet and/or enough time to relax and have a bowel movement. Sometimes, children don't want to go at school, they hold it all day, lose the urge and become constipated. The next day, the cycle begins all over again.
She needs more roughage in her diet and enough time to relax at home, either in the morning or in the evening to move her bowels on a regular basis so she doesn't lose this urge and become what we call "anal retentive".
#2, poo & potty? Come on, Val! Let's talk like adults.

Children can get constipated just like adults. She might need more fiber, watch her cheese intake too. This is not uncommon. She'll be fine.

SHE'S NOT GETTING ENOUGH WATER AND FIBER MOM at seven years old that's your responsibility not hers to stay healthy. Didn't the doctors tell you that's why she's constipated

constipation she may be holding it back as it may hurt her, give her fiber pills and sometimes mineral oil in a drink, my daughter had the same, but you should seek a gasteroligist as well
