OK, I'm a hungry man who is good at directing his lady to cook what's appropriate for the day. I'm gonna spare no expense with you because I am impressed with your willingness to cook something. Any smart man is gonna encourage his lady to cook things by assisting her in brainstorming some ideas.

Based on the clues you have presented, we can definitely cross out any sort of cow meat dish since you had steaks yesterday. Also, because that is red meat, I think we should eliminate red meats too.

That leaves use with fish or chicken. Anyone can eat chicken. Besides, today is Labor Day, so let's be more creative.

What you need are the following:

1. White rice
2. Fish (preferably Salmon-->lots of good cholestrol)
3. salt/pepper (duh)
4. Asparagus
5. some kind of mushrooms
6. tarragon
7. tomatos (men need tomatos so that they don't get colon cancer)
8. butternut squash
9. bacon

OK, that's the skeleton.

Dish #1: Butternut Squash Soup. Basically, get a butternut squash and take it out of its shell and cook it in chicken broth, ad some olive oil, salt, pepper, freshly squeeze lemon juice, chop some bacon and it some of that in there too and top with cilantro (the orange/green makes it a cool color combination) also lightly sprinkle some Cheyenne pepper for artistic coloring. If he's pepper averse, paprika will work too.

Dish 2: Steam some rice, keep it simple but add chopped seasoned mushrooms and sundried tomatos to it.

Dish 3: Steam the salmon; cook and top with a creamy tarragon mix (do not overcook, dry salmon is horrible and you will have wasted a good piece of fish); sprinkle German Rock salt (Marken Jodsaiz is the best tasting salt in the world-->Bad Reichenhaller brand is very good)

Dish 4: Pan fry some chopped asparagus; again salt and pepper;

Serve the soup first;

Then the fish/rice/asparagus afterwards. Garnish your dish with lemon peels and dab paprika/cheyenne on the rice.

For dessert, have a citrusy sorbet with a glass of muscat wine. Garnish the sorbet with a raspberry and a mint leave.

For tomorrow, if the weather is cooler, put the leg of lamb in the fridge and merinade it with curry sauce, salt, pepper, and olive oil.

Do not cook with butter. That will make the digestion uncomfortable.

Chicken in Cherry Marsala Sauce:

If you can't find dried cherries, use regular dried cranberries.

1/3 cup dried cherries
1/3 cup Marsala
2 teaspoons olive oil
4 (6-ounce) skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
1/2 teaspoon salt, divided
1/2 teaspoon black pepper, divided
1 teaspoon butter
1/4 cup finely chopped shallots
1 tablespoon chopped fresh thyme
1/2 cup fat-free, less-sodium chicken broth

Combine cherries and Marsala in a small microwave-safe bowl. Microwave at high for 45 seconds, and set aside.

Heat oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken; cook 4 minutes on each side or until done. Remove chicken from pan; sprinkle with 1/4 teaspoon salt and 1/4 teaspoon pepper. Cover and keep warm.

Add butter to pan, and cook until butter melts. Add shallots and thyme; sauté 1 minute or until tender. Stir in broth, scraping pan to loosen browned bits. Add cherry mixture, remaining 1/4 teaspoon salt, and remaining 1/4 teaspoon pepper; bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium, and simmer 2 minutes or until sauce is slightly thick. Serve chicken with sauce.

Yield: 4 servings (serving size: 1 breast half and about 1/4 cup sauce)

Arte you looking for simple, maybe where you had beef last night, go for pork or chicken. Or the fish.

Easy fish packet or any of the above. Fish has less time for cooking though. Add veggies and rice in som tin foil, drizzle with oil and favortie herbs and spices place the meat on top. Add more spice to meat. Put on cookie sheet and oven at 350.
I Use lemon for my fish and potatoes too for my meats, just slice or cube and they all cook together. Also egg noodles or nay pasta. I love cheese too so I tend to very to dishes I can add cheese to. Chicken broolli and rice and cheese. Example.
Oh by the way precook rice. Enjoy
Hamburg....taco casserole is easy too and loved by all. Just layer soft taco shels on bottom of casserole top with meat then cheese then taco shells. after baking top with diced tomatoes, lettuce and sour cream, mixed with salsa.

You really should try this recipe... You might want to make 1/2 recipe, since this is quiet big:

PENNE RUSTICA

2 T. butter
2 T. chopped garlic
1 T. Dijon mustard
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. chopped rosemary
1 cup marsala wine
1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
8 cups heavy cream

Saute butter, garlic and rosemary until garlic begins to brown. Add marsala wine and reduce by one-third. Add remaining ingredients and reduce by half of original volume. Set aside.

Penne Rustica:

1 oz. pancetta or bacon
18 ea. shrimp, peeled and deveined
12 oz. grilled chicken breast, sliced
4.5 cups of granita sauce
48 oz. penne pasta, precooked
3 T. pimentos
6 oz. butter
1 T. shallots, chopped
1 pinch of salt and pepper
1 cup parmesan cheese
1/2 tsp. paprika
6 sprigs of fresh rosemary

Saute pancetta until it begins to brown. Add butter, shallots and shrimp. Cook until shrimp are evenly pink but still translucent. Add chicken, salt, and pepper;
mix thoroughly. Add granita sauce and 1/2 cup of parmesan cheese and simmer until sauce thickens. In a large bowl, combine shrimp and chicken mixture with precooked pasta. Place this mixture into single serving dishes or one large casserole dish. Top with remaining cheese and pimentos and sprinkle with paprika. Bake at 475 for 10-15 minutes. Remove and garnish with fresh rosemary sprig. Serves six.
