Get to your local grocery store and purchase one Angel food cake or a sponge cake and some vanilla ice cream. Rinse your strawberries and snip the top off and slice up each strawberry into a bowl and sprinkle with a few tablespoons of sugar, cover and refrigerate and let sit for a couple of hours. The strawberries will make a delicious natural sweet syrup. Now, cut a slice of cake and put into a dessert bowl (on it's side of course), put one scoop of ice cream on the cake and then spoon the strawberries w/syrup on top of the ice cream. Oh, this is easy and delicious. If you use Angel Food Cake and frozen Vanilla Yogurt, you can cut some of the calories too! I hope you try this.

Sweet Strawberry Pie

What You'll Need
frosen strawberries, quartered
Juice of 1/2 lemon
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1/2 cup Suzanne’s Specialties Strawberry Rice Nectar
Sea salt
2 cups raw almonds
1 1/2 cups pitted dates

Instructions
Combine strawberries, lemon juice, vanilla, rice syrup and a pinch of salt in a bowl and toss to combine. Set aside while you make the crust.

Place almonds in a blender and pulse on high until they resemble bread crumbs. Empty into a 9-inch pie plate. Place dates in blender with about a teaspoon of water and pulse on high until well-chopped…it will be a little clumpy. Combine almonds and dates until they hold together and then press evenly onto the bottom and sides of pie plate to form a crust. Spoon berries generously into the crust, discarding any remaining liquid. Refrigerate for 2 hours before slicing into wedges and serve.

Makes 6-8 servings.

Defrost them and put them on French Vanilla ice cream, or a sponge cake with some whipped cream. Simple, easy, perfect.
