Shampoo and Condition your hair as you normally would. Apply a setting gel, lotion or mousse, so the curl will hold. Make sure the hair is combed through from scalp to ends, and evenly wet. Section your hair about the size of the roller you are using, keep the ends of your hair smooth and wrap the hair around the roller. Section and wrap the hair in the direction that you want your hair to go. Make sure your hair is completely dry before you take the rollers out. When it is completely dry, carefully unwind the rollers and spray with a hairspray, DO NOT BRUSH. Gently use your fingertips to get rid of the lines that the sectioning makes on your scalp and use your fingers to gently pull apart the curls to make them the way you want. Use hair spray and continue to use your fingers to style your hair. I find that this works best.
