The problem is probably exactly what your Dr told you it was ... he's better qualified than anyone on here

If you had developed an allergic reaction and have swelling in the face, be concerned if you have any trouble breathing or notice your tongue swelling as well. If this is the case, you will need an epinephrine shot and need to go to the ER right away.
If you do not have any difficulty breathing and just have the swollen face and are itchy from a rash that may have broken out, then the medications that your doctor have prescribed are likely correct. However, make sure they are the right medications since there are three medications that you will need to take to best counteract the allergic reaction. If you are missing any of these three then discuss it with your doctor.
1) diphenhydramine (Bendaryl) or another antihistamine
2) prednisone - steroids for the delayed phase of an allergic reaction - usually a 5 day course is all you need
3) H2-blocker (Pepcid, Zantac) - while these are normally thought of as stomach medications, the "H2" part of the H2-blocker refers to histamine-2 receptors. Histamine normally activates H1 receptors to trigger the response associated with an allergic reaction. However, enough activation of the H2-receptors may augment the allergic reaction. Consequently the addition of the H2-blocker will help with the recovery. Additionally the steroid will have effects on the protective lining of the stomach - the H2-blocker will help protect that.

Has your Dr put you on benedryl (over the counter allergy medicine) or prednisone steriods? Follow your Dr's orders, if you don't feel good about what they are doing for you, you have a right to a second opinion.

How long has it been, since treatment? Has it worked?Has it been detected as an allergy..with tests? When I think of "face inflating" I think of an infected wisdom tooth. Did he check that? Half my face swelled with that, felt like it was gonna bust any minute.

Do what your Dr. told you to do. There's nothing that you can do to make the swelling go away faster.
Otherwise, the only thing you can do is try to stay away from what you think you are allergic to. Was there something different that you did that day? Something you ate or touched?
