I think I might have computer vision syndrome. My job involves using a computer to answer mostly emails, with some phone calls. I also like to check my email when I get home as I'm not allowed to at work. Are there any tips you can think of to help me get through the next couple of days? I won't be able to go to the optometrist for almost two weeks, due to my busy schedule.

By the way, I'm using Refresh Tears for my eyes in the meantime.

there is a special screen you can attach to your computer.
it goes over the screen, you'll still be able to see the comp screen perfectly, but it may help your eyes.
you'll find them at a computer store. in the meantime, till you get the screen, or get your eyes checked. you can try wearing sunglasses when at the computer, it may help, but it couldnt hurt. good luck!

You can try changing the angle of your monitor and/or chair. Sometimes that helps. Also, during your breaks and when you get home, lie down and close your eyes with a cool (not icy) rag over them for a few minutes at a time.
