Tell your stylist about your past experience - that way he/she will know you are a little skittish about doing anything to your head. Ask the stylist to trim as much of the damaged that cannot be fixed by a deep moisturizer. (Sometimes when you cut off the really bad stuff a moisturizer really will help the rest.) Then have a deep moisturizer applied. Don't cut if all off; you've worked so hard to get where you are. I feel for you----same thing has happened to me. Good luck!

Whatever you decide, you definitely need the frizzy ends cut. Why? Because frizzies are caused by damaged split hair. The hair will break off or continue to split up the shaft if the split isn't cut off to prevent it.
Besides, there's nothing beautiful about long hair on top with a row of frizz at the bottom.

I have had long hair my whole life, well it was about 10 inches below my shoulders and i finally got the guts to cut it. I did it for a good reason though. I donated to locks of love. To do this you have to have at least 10 inches to cut off. I am now planning on growing my hair out again and in about 1 and a half years i will do it again. But do what you feel like doing. If you want long hair you have to get used to it. Pony tails are great.

go to a professional solon at least once a year for advice. also, there is a difference between a haircut and a scalp-job. your hair dresser should only cut the dead ends off and even out the shape. before the cut make sure you inform the coiffure that you only want to loose the ends. that your goal is to have long hair.

Just cut off the "bad" parts (that are frizzy), but by ALL means, PLEASE! DO NOT cut your hair short! Short hair was meant for GUYS, not girls! Men look so femmy with long hair, but God intended for ALL you ladies and girls to have your hair long! It looks so feminine and beautiful, and really, on MOST women, their hair is one of their BEST features! It accentuates their face and makes them even more beautiful! Besides, the Bible states very clearly: "Doth not even nature itself teach you, that if a man have long hair, it is a SHAME unto him? But if A WOMAN have long hair, it is A GLORY to her: for her hair is given her for a covering." (1 Corinthians 11:14&15). I don't care WHAT the "feminist Hollywood crowd" says! Short on a woman is HIDEOUS! Long hair on a woman is GORGEOUS! Maybe you need to see a beautician and get some help on how to stop the "frizzies", but again, PLEASE do not succumb to the ABNORMALITY of short hair on a woman!

1. Yes, Dave Grohl rocks in every way, including his killer 'do. 2. Yes, you have the right kind of hair for it. 3. Print out a clear photo and take to a stylist whom your friends tell you will do what you want and keeps up with the latest techniques. 4. Uh, well, I'm old enough to be your grandmother, but yea, I think so.

First of all, there called split ends. Just cut it to where the split ends end. If it has to really short. Then so be it. At least you'll have healthier hair.

It's all merely a matter of personal preference. I actually have short hair and guys like it. And i prefer a man with short hair over a guy with long hair because long tresses tends to make guys look too girly.
