If you think it is so right then why not listen as a group to what i believe and not slam me for what i believe. Almost every religious person thinks they are right, lets talk about the mid east then. thousands of yrs of fight to prove what? I can kill you with a rifle becuase you dont believe what i believe. screw that. to each their, and when i walk away from what you believe, DONT follow me.
I believe all those who have to believe in something they cant see, taste, hear, smell or touch have less to believe in themselves. If they start believing in themselves then why go and PAY MONEY to sit in church and think all your sins are gone, wiped clean.
Dont ask me to grow up, face reality and start believing in yourself.
This is what i believe, no one needs to save me or pray for me.

Slow down there bro!! I'm not sure who offended you or what they said!! I do have a question for you though. First I would like to say, Yes I am a christian. I do not live my life judging others, or even walk around running my mouth about spiritualism. I just saw your question and wanted you to know that I am a regular person just like you trying to go through this life the best that I can and enjoy it as much as I can. Don't get me wrong about this question I'm about to ask, I'm not assuming you already do this! However, I would like to ask you to please take a second and make sure that your not making any assumptions about an entire group of people as a whole. Make sure you keep in mind that everyone should answer for his or her self. Just like racism today, people think of a race as a whole as being a certain way or lawyers being a certain way. I may be a Christian, but that onlymeans that I accepted the fact that God created me and He sent Jesus here to show us an example of how we should try to live. I don't push that on other people. I just try to live my life reflecting how I believe. I believe by living what you believe, that is the best way to be an example. People do talk too much, and they need to start concentrating on less talk and more actions. I do pray, however, that I can make a diffence in the world today and help as many people as I can who are hurting, and hopefully because of my example they allow themselves to feel God with them as I do with me. God Bless you!!

Hey, I respect your opinion and your decision. In my eyes you are misguided but you certainly have that right. I have no problem in agreeing to disagree. I do not feel obligated to convince you of what I believe; my job, the commission given to me, was to be sure that you heard the truth. The rest is up to you and God.
So, you want to believe in yourself-that is fine. If you are of sufficient confidence that you can provide for yourself a means of escape from punishment for the wrongs you have committed, fine. Or, if you do not believe in anything after this life, fine. Again, I respect that. I may not agree, but you have the free will choice to make just as I do.
One point I would like to bring up, though, is that we do not pay money to sit in church. I know of no congregation that requires payment for entrance. What is given is given freely, without obligation. In fact, I am convinced that for some church is really nothing more than free entertainment. I don't like that, but I believe it is true.
Final thought. I apologize on behalf of all Christians if someone has offended you, insulted you, belittled you or in any other way caused you disrespect. No one is entitled to do that to another person, and it is wrong to do so.

The Christian (I'm not one) is told that someone who has not "found" Jesus wil go to eternal torment. Given that perspective, for someone who has that knowledge to say nothing to you, knowing you are not "saved", would be to say "I am OK with Jim being totured forever." I cannot imagine anything more uncaring, especially if they avoided it for a selfish reason like noy wanting you to be upset with them. I do not hold the honest attempt tohelp against the Christian. I am more saddened, sometimes even frightened, by the amazing intellectual failure it takes to actually believe Judeo-Christian (or Islamic) theology.
Where your sentiment is necessary is when dealing with the theocrats running the US.

This is a religion section.
That gives them the right to express their beliefs.
People are going to express their views, just as you just did.
If you can't hang with that, then leave!
No one is forcing you to visit here.
What is amazing is the number of people who claim not to have or believe in religion that do visit and express their hate for religion. Read the posts here and you'll see the majority are people basing religion, not religious people basing people who don't believe.

i completely agree. no matter how many times someone tells me that i can be saved too, or that i am going to hell, or that eventually i will wise up and realize my mistakes...i am not going to change. but i also realize that people believe they are helping when they say comments like that. so i don't really take them to heart. it is a religion section after all

Suppose you were suffering from an incurable terminal disease, and someone had just found the cure? Would you want them to tell you about it? Of course you would. Of course, you could reject that cure, for whatever reason...maybe it's too painful, or maybe it would mean having to give up certain things you don't want to give up...and decide you'd just as soon die, anyhow. That would be your choice.
Each of us is suffering from an incurable terminal disease (we will all die). But there is a Cure. Christians are only trying to share with you. You can accept Jesus Christ, and live, or you can choose to reject Him and die. It's your choice.

Sharing the Word of the Lord is part of our believes. If you're not interested, simply say, "No thank you." No hatred or insults are needed.
