Why is there so much hate in this section when religion and spiritually should be of love and never hate.

Disagreements are one thing, but we can disagree without showing hatred or making jokes about people beliefs.
Maybe there should be a section called hatred.

Maybe they should separate all the different types of religion and if those who don’t believe the same, out of respect stay out. At the same time, Christians should stay out of the none Christian section, for I know that Christians show hate, which isn't scriptural either.

Non-Christians get mad at Christians and visa versa, did anyone think that who ever thought of this section when they created this site wanted to start people hating each other.

If I get hateful remarks then that just proves my point... why can’t we all stop the hate.

to say hateful things is not debating. to debate is to share a issue with proof. to aggravate is just another version of hate. to aggravate also shows you just want to hurt someone to have fun. thats also very mean, meanness is also a form of hate.

i don't want to segregate people i just want the hateful remarks to stop. i understand we need to share our differences, but using hatred to do it is wrong. if we shared all the good that the difference have where is that wrong instead of focusing all on bad. that includes the types of questions asked.

When I first started in this category I figured I would see a lot of different religions and beliefs. I also thought there would be disagreements and people could discuss their beliefs in a respectful way. Boy, was I naive , I have seen so much nastiness, vulgar, and disrespect from many including Christians. I feel like not coming back sometimes, but I feel that Christan's have a right to their beliefs just as much as anyone else, and I also see love here too, So, here I am, I doubt that the hate will ever stop, but as long as I still see love, I have hope and will continue to be here. God Bless

You find so much hatred between religions?

Segregation may be the answer, but only with eternal vigilance. After all most religions try to expand their grasp of the masses. Is that why religion is considered THE leading cause of war?

How about, why is it that there is fighting whithin religions? If you believe in the same god but differ on the dogma in the same religion, why do people still kill each other as is so pointed in Islam. Could that also be why world peace can't be established?

This is only one of the reasons I'm an atheist. Too much hatred and evil can be laid at the feet of all the gods and the religions that worship them.

Not all atheists, not all Christians, not all Muslims, etc. show hatred for others or feel the need to insult others. It's only a select few. Maybe they should only be permitted in an anger management section? I think we all just need to accept and tolerate others. We may not be able to stop the hatred, but we can certainly learn to accept it for what it is.

I agree we should all stop the hate but segregation of the questions wouldn't be good. I like reading what people of different religions and beliefs say. If someone writes of hatred then I look to try to understand why they hate.

BTW, I disagree that meanness is a form of hate. Hate is the reason why someone does something. Meanness is what others infers. My kids (also myself, when I was a kid) feel that their parents are mean when they can't have ice cream. It isn't hateful, though.

Now, to the question at hand, I have seen numerous answers using the phrase "hate the sin, love the sinner". This is usually applied to the sin of not believing what the answerer believes. Isn't it just as reasonable to "hate religion, love the believer"?

Religion has never been about love. Its goal is control, and views that differ from it are deemed a threat and need to be silenced.

The strongest argument is the one that withstands the most scrutiny, and the religious know they can't pass, that's why they oppose any other view.

The people who come here without hate are those willing to say "I don't know".

I don't think dividing things up is the answer--no sense is sitting in a puddle of your own ideas and stagnating.

I do agree that people coming into this section should anticipate that theyre are going to be different ideas than their own, though.

i agree with stopping the hate, but i don't think we should separate from each other. i love the debate that occurs in this section, just not the anger that comes along with it

people tend to be very (VERY) protective of their convienient little comfort bubbles. If that bubble is poped or prodded, the result can be very aggressive. I do aggree with you, though, one would think you would find debates about how to turn the world into eden or how to create heaven on earth...

1st, the only reason people adhere to religion is to follow a standard of ethics & behavior that they can ASPIRE to. We are in need of improvement.

That being said, maybe they SHOULD have a spot for Muslims, Xtians, Hindus, etc.

But if you do that, where's the interaction???...
