Because it is government policy, they are only pretending that it isn't. We don't have any borders anymore.

Because they appeal against the decision not to let them stay again and again and again, On their hearing days they feign illness, get rushed to hospital and their case is adjourned forcing another delay,they pay the interpreters not to turn up.there's a thousand ways of getting out of a hearing and we don't have the resources to police those that abuse our hospitality !
Remember to cast your vote carefully at the next general election, something has to be done !

how extremely racist .. these people are seeking asylum because if they dont leave their own country they stand a good chance of being slaughtered. After reading most of your answers you all pose as humanitarians, non racist, open minded people...yahoo answers far surpasses any site with comic value

because the Home Office take so long to process everthing that by the time they have finished the immigrant has disappered into society without a trace.....

Because this Goverment does not have the wherewithal to repatriate them. Most disappear into the "system".
