Because few young men are willing to go into the Catholic priesthood anymore.... In the modern world, most men want to marry, and have children. The celibacy thing/ and no marriage thing was invented by the catholic church to get around the laws of inheritance during the early middle ages --- thus church property remained church property, and wasn't inherited by a son. For some reason, the church believe to be celibate is also to be holy, but priests are rarely so, and are often gay...... oh well.......

That's nonsense. There a lot of young priests. too. The only requirement of the Catholic church is that priests have to be men and be unmarried, unlike other denominations where the clergy can be married, and of either gender. You shouldn't be calling the older priests "creepy". That's not very nice!

The church leaders ARE creepy old men.....so naturally, they're going to appoint OTHER creepy old men. It's a way they have on insuring their own future.
The church has always been led by creepy old men. It's just the way it is. I mean, what NORMAL guy is gonna want to put on those prissy robes and strut all around?? That stuff just attracts the Perves!

Why does society allow some in an "inner circle", and excludes others? That answer will lead to your answer here.
My take on the issue: For decades on, "the church" allowed in it's priest ranks, those they KNEW had "tribulations / problems of the 'spirit' and challeneges of temptations"....thinking the strict priesthood lifestyle will "set them straight".
And now, the domino effect of humanity shows us that using religious disciplines alone can not prevent socio-sexual crimes of both law and moral judgement. That's why you're seeing all those shocking revelations come out now from within "the church".

they were not creepy old men in the first place...they grew old just like you will and so............what is your remedy...get rid of them when they have worked all their life for the church. Give me a break, and you...when you get old what do we do with you. Put you down or out in some fenced in pasture and just let you roam around like an old horse.

Because people grow up and get old, and thy shouldn't be pushed aside because silly teenagers think old people are creepy. Yopu will be a creepy old person some day, too. Besides, it takes years to learn enough theology to be able to teach it to others properly

Catholicism is now reaping what it sowed; poor doctrine. If you have preists that are not allowed to marry, theyre going to seek other outlets like children who they think wont tell.
If they werent creepy when they became a priest, catholicisms poor doctrine makes them creepy by requiring them not to marry.
