i have always wonders what the color looked like. can you explain it it or show me a pic?

Puce is another name for purple or violet.

Puce is almost a general color for a whole sector of the cosmetic industry. Here on the wikipedia entry, someone has been kind of enough to put into into perspective, especially in terms of the other colors surrounding it:

In short, puce is a version of light brown-red.

Also of note, for the older kids reading along here, puce, you might remember, is the color Dudley Moore and John Lithgow choose for the color of the magic lollipops that made children fly in Santa Claus: The Movie (1985). Although, I think their version was a little too pink.
