What? And take all the fun out of it? Don't be daft. Ahh, the fun I've had insulting people who are cerebraly challenged (i.e. thick) tying them in verbal knots until they don't know if I've insulted them or not. Oh, the look of confusion on their little faces as their dim minds try to work it out.
Now compare that to openly calling someone a thicky from the land of thick-o-rama. Their tiny brains instantly realise they have been insulted and whack! One knuckle sandwich later I'm off to A & E in the back of a wailing ambulance! So no thanks. I'll keep my insults nicely veiled, thank you very much.

I'll be as clear as I can. sometimes people simply lash out because they have no intelligent input. But sometimes what seems to be a "veil" only seems that way because of how unfamiliar logic and rules of evidence are to the metaphysically minded, whether that be the religious or the atheists. Sometimes people look for ways to be insulted, which props up most arguments about race, gender, and politics. How about this; can we all be more open about our assumptions rather than trying to defend them as necessary truth?

Actually, the ability to insult the sh*t out of somebody, and leave them with nothing more than a vague wonderment as to whether they had been insulted or not is, in some circles, regarded as a high form of art... kind of like bad puns. This is especially effective on Christians, given their limited vocabulary and their inability to discern subtle qualitative nuances of difference in the meaning of terms. Following your suggestion would take most of the fun out of it.

Veil
An adjective meaning "morally low; base; despicable":
Your statement is very confusing? You are saying you want us to be more open wit hour insults and not so morally low or despicable?
Sounds like you are saying to be open and insult at will as fast and hard as you can and at the same time don't insult?
Another one marked up to oxymoron.

I don't know who has been insulting you, but the insults on this site tend to be VERY open and honest!

Oh come on, being subtle when you insult is half the fun. Be as subtle and veil it as much as you can and see if they notice, it's much better than just coming straight out with it.

Good idea! I think you should wear a veil.
Is it better not to insult people?

It's time to bury political correctness: it's simply NOT working in soceity and gives pratice to veiled insults and workplace "catch-backs", thus adding MORE stresses both in the job, at home AND in general society.

I agree.
Don't veil an insult. Because it might be misinterpreted and not an insult anymore.
