Police officers are dicks. I live in NC and talking on a cell phone without a hands free device while driving a car is a no no. the police do it all the time, and its not business because they could use their radios. Thats why peolpe don't like police they have no respect for the laws they are hired to upheld.
I cant wait for a policeman to hit me while hes on the phone, i'll sue the **** out of his ***, just to make a point.

Look at it this way public servant making let say less than 40k a year has to buy his own gun sometime and has to defend you when some one is out to get you! Even after complaining to his Sergent for talking on his cell or radio. Besides it is a urban myth that phones start gasoline fires. Sparks from sheep skin seat covers static electricity more likely fire starter.
Besides Petrol station is a good place to be robbed and car stolen. Your not being observant enough arguing with the kids on your cell.

Because didn't u know that police in this country are above the law, that's why! Not only that but have you ever seen them drive and speak using their car radios or personal radios at horrific speed. Why? because god gave them extraordinary powers of concentration and the ability to do two things at once,knowing of course that if they kill someone in the process the courts will throw the case out because they are, well.....police officers of course.

'cos the police can do anything, like talk on a radio while driving, exceed speed limits to get home for their tea... just a couple....

same reason they can go over 150 mph. and not get banned or points. same reason they can drive while over the limit.
same reason they get into night clubs for free.they enforce the rules, and look out for each other. how many cops and judges do you see getting into trouble?. hope this goes some way to answering youre question.
