I am in love with a younger man and just recently he has lied to me big time. He wants to start fresh and give him another chance but he has devastated me and broke my heart into a million pieces. I need advice......ohhh, he really loves me and I know this.

I love a younger man too. I know how it can be hard to deal with the insecurities. You said he lied to you "big time" and broke your heart? Was it about another woman? Was it about sex?
Face it. Men, all men, have a history to hide. All people do. What you want to do is see your relationship for all that it is and not what it isn't.
Just because someone loves you doesn't mean he is the one for you. You should go for what ever you want. Everyone wants to start fresh since losing love hurts so bad.
So be objective. Use this time to see if you really want to take him back. Afterall, the lie is just that. It is the relationship that you have that matters. Not the lie.
Maybe you should step back. Think about it. If he is serious he will give you time to forgive him. If he is mad or impatient, then you will know the answer to your question even faster. No need to rush love.

I see people are being hard on there responses. If you love him then take him back. Lying does break the trust but why did he lie??? Do you believe that you will ever be able to trust him again. Give him a fresh start and see where it goes. Is he asking for a fresh start...if so give him a try. He can change. It seems that he wants to change. We all make mistakes and I am sure you have lied to someone at some point in your life. Can you forgive him? If you can then do it!

I guess it depends on what he lied about. If you feel like you should give him a second chance no one should try to stop you, if you are having second thoughts I suggest that you ask him why you should give him a scond chance, if he can't give a good reason then he may just try to hurt you again. Besides if he really loved you he wouldn't have lied to you in the first place.

Not unless you want to be called a fool. It is sometimes hard to turn off your feelings, however, do it. Once a liar, always a liar. You know, if he will lie to the woman he is suppose to be closest to, then you don't really have anything but a close liar. No thanks. I say out with old, in with the new. Best way to get over the last one, is to find a new one. Guys do it all the time.

first of all are you in love do do you just think that you are? so first lay down all the good things abt this guy then all the bad and dont forget that lying weighs heavy in a relationship and thne decide i geuss if u really love him and think he does too then give him another chance but be careful and alert

It depends what he lied about. If he lied about his age, no big. If he lied about cheating on you, don't take him back. It all depends what he lied about.

I feel you, I think you should give him a second chance because God likes for us to forgive and forget, he forgives us of our sins so why to do what God wants us to do for him.
