because hope springs eternal....oh and because I have this nagging doubt that the light does not actually go out when you shut the door again. One day I am going to prove my theory. Meantime I snack.

Its because we are hungry and we know that the food is in the fridge and we hope that we might've missed too look in the back for some kind of snak

Because when you open the door, the light comes on, it's cold in there and the light and cool air hit you and make you feel good. Then you can stand there and think of all the items on the shelves and in the drawers that could be put together to make something.'

We probably forgot what was in the fridge when we checked it 10 minutes ago!!! My husband does this ALL THE TIME!!!

You're just not hungry enough the first few times you go. Perhaps you're not checking for different food, but to see if the food that's there has become more appealing yet.
