do you even need to lose 20 pounds? you could really ruin your health if you lost to much at once. start small.
you need to get a LOT of excerise to lose weight at all. you shold actually go by how many inches you lose instead of weight. muscle weighs more than fat so you might lose maybe 3 inches and 5 lbs or something like that. 30 min of excersise a day is fine, you dont have to do it all at once, you can take breaks if you need to. DDR is a great way. and you need to cut back on junk food if you eat a lot, because then your just gaining the caloris back.remember to eat a lot of fruits and veggies and drink water. just to warn you, this is likely to take more than 30 days. good luck.

First of all, starving yourself will backfire in a big way because your metabolism WILL slow way down and you won't lose that fast AND you will regain it all the minute you eat again.
Really fast weight loss isn't all that healthy, but if you've watched some of the makeover shows on the past few seasons, it can be done. Here's the basic formula.
1. Diet - they all use a different formula, but typically they are calorie limited, high protein and carbs are restricted to high quality, low glycemic carbs. For your height, you'll want to stay between 1200 - 1500 calories a day. Any lower and you're risking a loss of muscle AND a metabolism slow down.
Two easy diets to try (since I assume you don't want to plan your own) South Beach and Atkins Diet. You can stay on the first phase of either for the whole month. Just be sure you move past that stage after that, AS RECOMMENDED by the plan, so you return to a healthy eating lifestyle and not the same bad habits that caused the extra weight.
2. Weight training - You will lose FAT faster with weight training, and the added bonus is that while you will gain muscle, muscle takes up less space than fat, so if you are doing it correctly, I can guarantee you will lose noticible inches and firm up EVEN if you don't lose a pound (which you will lose weight if you follow the diet).
To do it right, you need to work all your major muscle groups every 48 hours to a point they call "muscle failure." This means that by the time you get to the end of your third set (usually 8-10 repetitions is a set) you are so exhausted you can't do another rep. You can split your body into two different groups, ie. upper body and lower body, and work out every day, or do your whole body every other day.
You should get a good book on weight training, or if you can afford it, pay for a couple of sessions with a trainer. That money will be well spent. One book with a simple routine (though he splits the days differently) is "Body for Life." (this book also has a low carb diet in it, but I recommend the others better).
3. Cardio - The first two steps, 1 and 2, will do the trick, but you want FAST and cardio burns calories, so if you can fit 30 minutes a day or more in, you will get the acceleration you want. Cardio can be whatever you want, dance, aerobics, stairclimber, treadmill, bicycle, swimming, etc.
4. Move any other chance you get. Walk the mall, go dancing with friends, play basketball, anything that fits your idea of fun. This step isn't a must, but it helps.
The people on those TV shows typicall put in an hour or so a day on weights, and 2 hours a day of cardio. I think that 3 hours a day of exercise is too much for those of us who have other commitments, like school or work. Remember they have no other commitment during those time frames than to get fit. So be reasonable in your expectations.
Lastly make SURE you're drinking 8-10 cups of water a day. Cut out all soda (even diet). Green tea is cool, just use a zero calorie sweetner.
If you do 1, 2 and 3, plus the water. 20lbs in 30 days is possible, without risking your health.

you probably only need to lose about 20 lbs. You should weigh about 125 for your height. Just watch your fat intake. Try to keep it at about 20 grams of fat a day. And exercise. Go for walks, play basketball, etc. Doesn't have to be extreme. Try to eat several times a day. Space out your meals. It keeps your metabolism going. Good luck. DO NOT STARVE YOURSELF!!

Eat 5-6 times a day, about 250 calories each time Drink hot water often, perhaps including green and/pr red tea.. Exercise with both weights and cardiovascular, preferably sprint type work, as this will help you lose fat and maintain muscle mass, keeping you metabolism up. Eat foods high in fiber, with at least 20gms of protien at each meal.

Top weight loss tips
Today there is too much information available on losing weight that has become more confusing and sometimes difficult to follow. It’s actually very easy to lose weight if you follow my weight loss tips.
* Be in right frame of mind
Before you can start any diet program you need to be in the right frame of mind. If you do not feel good about yourself you probably will not want to choose healthy foods. You cannot expect the act of going on a diet to make you feel better about yourself. The only way you can choose to eat a healthy diet to lose weight is if you have a positive self-image.
* Eat whole food
Top weight loss tips
Eat whole foods that are as natural as possible. When you eat whole foods that are full of nutrients your body will know how much to eat and how much not to eat. You do not have to count calories because your body is a wonderful machine.
* Eat fresh fruit
Eat at least two servings of fresh fruit every day. Choose whatever type of fruit is in season.
* Drink enough water
Drink the best weight loss supplement known to man, water. Most people do not know the difference from being hungry for food or thirsty for water. A great deal of times people eat when they should drink. Most likely you will not feel as hungry if you are getting enough water. You will be satisfying the thirst, which is confused for hunger. Water also helps you digest food better. Drinking water before you eat will help fill you up.
* Always chew your food
Always chew your food well. Chewing your food well will ensure that you get the most nutrients out of your food. Getting the most nutrients will satisfy your body therefore you will eat less. Another benefit of chewing well is that it helps aid in digestion.
* Take small meals
Eat small, frequent meals in a day. Large meals tax your digestion system, making it work harder. Taking too much time in between meals makes you hungrier for the next meal.
* Include protein at meal
Include good sources of protein at meal, chicken, fish, legumes, peanut, cottage cheese, eggs or yogurt.
* Shut off TV while eating
Shut off the TV whenever you eat – that includes meals and snacks. Studies show that we automatically eat larger portions when we snack in front of the tube, and typically those foods are high in fat and sugar, which means excess calories!
* Increase your physical activity
Increase your physical activity. Most people are over weight because of a lack of physical activity. Start walking more, bicycling, walks your dog for longer periods of time, swim, dance and leave the car at home when you can. It’s important that you choose a physical activity that you enjoy because you’ll stick with it.

ok, that's impossible unless you plain on physically cutting the fat off with a knife. sadly, the road to weight loss is a very long one. but if you keep battling through, you WILL see results. eat healthy and exercise. if you don't do both, you won't see results. and there are no pills or patches or magic creams that can cut the time down. they will only deplete your bank account down.
good luck, and don't give up!

go to a nutrition store... buy a weight loss pill high in caffeine, go to the grocery store buy primatine mist (ephedrine source) take both, just not over 800mg caffeine a day and not over 100mg ephedrine a day, beyond that pray that next time you start your diet earlier
as an answer to 'neil s' above... cold water, not hot, cold water cannot be used by the body, it must be warmed, as heat is simply a measure of relative energy, your body produces energy to warm the cold water, energy is created in the body by burning calories, hence the term "burning calories" not cooling them

the only way of doing that is not eating or drinking hardly ever. and if you do that, the only weight you'll really lose is water. you'll gain it back. take a walk for half an hour every day and snack healthy. not much else to say.
