Where is there a recycle plant for plastics, glass, etc in Illinois?

We live in Northeastern Illinois and want to view a plant that recycles throw away packaging. My husband does not believe that the garbage pickup companies really separate and send on to recycle plants!

Check out www.swancc.com. They show pictures of trash disposal in the Northern suburbs.

There's one in Alsip. Let him know I worked in one for like a day or two. Tell him that if he looks at containers he'll see a number inside a triangle which are arrows. Garbage gets separated by those numbers to be recycled.
