NOT all men are like this, but this one is...he is angry because he no longer has control over you...and I am happy you turned it around on him...people like this are to be avoided at all costs...they ARE monsters. You are lucky you are so strong. Dont' even question why, just knowing what kind of jerk he is should be good enough. You escaped ... good for you!

Hey, some women are like this as well there.....
But back to the point. He's hurt that he got dumped, which was a smart thing to do from the sounds of it. Some guys think they can do no wrong. Well if he had all this rage and anger and is obvious disfunctionable, then what you did was the best thing. No man should ever talk like crap to a woman he says he has feelings for.
You totally did the right thing, let him burn himself out with his own immaturity, but maybe let someone know and just be careful. he sounds like a winner, sorry that you were on the receiving end of it all !

Because you let him. If you are glad to be rid of the monster, why do you continue to associate with him? Waiting on one last kick? Don't worry, he'll deliver! Sever all ties with him.

you did the smart thing... I am so proud of you.. most woman would have taken it and said they stayed because they love him.... BLAH BLAH BLAH..... You were smart enough to realize that he was not good for you... So just let him be and move on with your life... you seem like you have a good head on your shoulders and you know how to use it... congrats...

HE IS TOO NARCISSISTIC. IT WILL ALWAYS BE ALL ABOUT HIM. THERE IS NO CONVINCING HIM OTHERWISE.
BE GLAD HE IS SOMEONE ELSE'S PROBLEM TO DEAL WITH NOW.
MOVE ON AND SEVER TIES. FORGIVE HIM FOR HIS SHORTCOMINGS. THANK HIM FOR SHOWING YOU WHAT TO AVIOD IN THE FUTURE. THEN LEAVE HIM ALONE TO STEW IN HIS OWN JUICES.
MOVE ON AND LOOK FOR GUYS WHO HAVE EMPATHY, AND GUYS WHO REALIZE THE THEIR PERSPECTIVE IS NOT THE ONLY PERSPECTIVE. FIND GUYS WHO ACCEPT OTHER POINTS OF VIEW.
FIND A GUY WHO OS SO GOOD TO YOU THAT YOU FEEL THE URGE TO BRAG TO ALL YOUR FRIENDS ABOUT HIM.

it's a control issue. apparently he has seen this behavior work in the past (his previous relationships, or between his mother and father, probably the latter) and thinks it's acceptable. stay far, far away from him.

don't let him.
And yes that's easy for me to say, because I wouldn't let them.
Being happy in your new life is the best defense.
