how old are you??? Oh never mind I've had this convo with my 29 yr old sister before. None of the above is appropriate for them. You wanna watch tv together? Great!! Let me give you some suggestions....go back to your childhood. Seasame Street is on channel 9 (PBS local broadcasting but still on other channels) and I do however let my children watch the Simpsons....Not SouthPark or Beavis orJerry and probably not Jackass either....Do you want them trying these things at home?? Your sister or brother might become very upset with you ( I know I"ve been there)

I really do not think any of these shows are good for a preschooler because some are a little graphic. Let her watch noggin or playhouse disney these are very educational for preschoolers because they are at the learning age. I don't think anything with cursing is good and we all know beavis and butthead has quite a bit of profanity in their show. You don't won't to send your niece home to her parents and her all of a sudden blurt out a cuss word because she picked it up off a tv show do you?

You are a funny guy. If you are serious, you are a pathetic adult. I would say leave the tv off and play tea set, paint, color, draw, make a craft, go for a walk, build a fort out of blankets and chairs, play in the sprinkler..... Anything that doesn't involve such mornoic trash.

If you are serious, you are sick and if I had children, I wouldn't want you near my kids, never mind watching them! I babysit a lot and if you watch television with the kids at all, you have to watch things that aren't your favorite, unless you want 5 year olds who are cursing and having sex. Things like Barney, Sesame Street, and Dora the Explorer are things you should show to a preschool child, not the shows you mentioned.

are you serious? None of them....they are not suitable for a pre-schooler. There are plenty of programs that would be good for her to watch and educational ones also........sit with her and encourage her through out those programs. Or put in a DVD---everyone loves disney movies.

Try something from the Disney channel. It's the only thing I've found that's interesting and is good for kids and interests some adults sometimes as well.

please don't expose her to any of those. Simple play activities, down on the floor with her, touching textures, identifying shapes, coloring, talking, spending time with her, making eye contact, and her just enjoying the pleasure of your company is enough to occupy both yours and her time together. If all you want to do is sit there and watch television, you both are missing out on valuable teaching time together. She can teach you things by having you to focus on learning to observe the world through her eyes and interests. By playing, you release endorphins into your brain that wake it up, and cause you to laugh, which is good for you, your niece, and society in general. Feel good; it is a joy to be with children; they are precious, and you can impact them so much as their brains are growing with such plasticity at this point in their lives. Television puts their brains in ocular lock, which means there is not stimulation going on, so their brains are not growing. Both of you need to do something together; roll rocks, just do SOMETHING. Please, for both of your sakes.

Ummm, not to sound like I'm againt any of those shows, but I would not let a pre-schooler or a young child watch any of those shows.
